This is our second year staying with Western Maine Yurts. We bring our large dog and have had a great experience both times! The space is clean and equipped with the essentials. We had a booking mishap (on our end) and the host was kind, understanding, and accommodating. Will be back next year!
You guys are such great guests! Thanks for coming back. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
If you want to experience a rustic Maine setting in unique comfort, this is the way to go. The Androscoggin was comfortable and well equipped with all the essentials. Bath house is super clean, a great place for a warm shower after a day on the slopes or trails. Highly recommend.
We had the best time! The yurts were very cute, yet simple, efficient and lots of space. Bathrooms were amazing! Very clean, and super close to our yurt. Beautiful property and hiking trails! There was even a binder with fun places to eat and things to do which is great if you're from out of town! We will for sure be back eventually for a nice fall trip.
Had a wonderful weekend stay in our yurt. Very nice inside and was able to stay warm in even in low outside temps. The bath house is very clean and has plenty of privacy. Would stay again.
Really enjoyed our stay. Yurt was awesome. Liked that there was a queen bed and not just couch/foutons like we have experienced at other yurts. A couple of suggestions I would make though: a guide book in the yurt of surrounding things to do, trail maps etc. Also found it odd that both doors had no curtains over the windows. Just made us feel like we didn’t have full privacy if we were changing in the yurt. Also, the last evening we were there ended up being freezing rain. The path from the yurt and parking area was complete glare ice. Maybe have a bucket of sand nearby that we can throw down if situations like this arise. Overall, great experience though.
Thank you Jessica! We definitely agree with your suggestions. We had jugs for the ice on the steps but they ran out and we weren't able to get them replaced immediately. It is a challenge keeping up with the huge flux in temperatures and keeping outdoor sand dry. I'm sorry we weren't able to get to the path to sand it before you left for the morning. We are working on getting more sand and ice melt. And we are also working on getting some privacy films applied to those windows- the extreme cold we had the last several weeks made it impossible to get a good application. Those concerns are noted and we hope to have them improved as soon as possible. Thank you for visiting and we hope you come again as we have hopes to continue to add to the property and amenities with time!
My partner and I booked The Androscoggin and had a great stay there. We arrived late at night but it was warmed up for our arrival which was amazing. The yurts are spread out enough so you can't see/hear the others. The bath house felt like a luxury! Hot water, large showers and big huge basin sinks to wash dishes...and so clean. Communication with their team was so easy with quick responses. I'd definitely stay here again.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We hope to have you back again!
